Another test with the withing mix.. but this time on a small scale vehicle that showed some ageing platina due to heat damage thanks to the chemical used on the plastic as a safety fire retardant. the pics show only the back turbine of the toy.. but the whole toy minus the gray seat and canopy were included in the process.

This was a test of a withing method on old pastic that had the flame retardant chemical that leads to most yellowing after some years of exposure to seasonal heat. Figure was creamy yellow and the mix neutralized the yellowing of over 30 years,also very little to none effect on the painted colors on the figure. the process is not that all complicated but requires hands and eye protection.

When painting over plastic is always good to use a decent bonding promoter agent, i found that the ones used on automotive repairs are very good.

Started giving some base color.

Well.. i did a little paint hunting. i am running low on colors in both spray for plastics and model bottles.found some at my nearest Walmart.

I think i will be taking a trip to my local Walmart to see if they work Krylons or any bond2plastic colors in spray. Gonna cross my fingers because these i only got from Homedepot.. and that is a bit farther than Walmart lolz.
